Thousands Come Out For 12th Annual Park Day Festival on Daniel Island

November 20, 2012

Fantastic fall weather provided the perfect backdrop for this year’s Park Day festival on Saturday, November 3. Thousands of residents and island visitors came out for the festivities and to celebrate the Grand Opening of Governors Park, Daniel Island’s newest park.  A day of giving that benefits more than a dozen local non-profit organizations, Park Day features festive outdoor fun, including great food, live music and activities for all ages. This year’s event raised more than $14,000 for participating charities. All-in-all, it was a spectacularly fun fall afternoon in Charleston’s Island Town.
