This Weekend On and Around Daniel Island

This has to be one of the best times of year on Daniel Island and in Charleston. There are endless ways to get out and enjoy the amazing weather. Head to the beach, hop in the boat or check out one of these area events in the coming days:

Museum Mile Weekend
It’s the perfect time of year for a stroll through historic downtown Charleston, and this weekend, you can enjoy a great deal on access to some of the city’s most treasured museums. Charleston’s Museum Mile Weekend takes place September 20-22. A single pass is available that will allow visitors complimentary admission to 13 sites along and around Meeting Street, including The Charleston Museum, Gibbes Museum of Art, Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry, Joseph Manigault House, Old Slave Mart Museum, Edmonston-Alston House and others. Passes are good for the entire weekend and are available for $25 per adult and $10 per child under 12. Click here to purchase passes.

Junior Girls Olympics
Want to inspire your daughters to get out and get active? Come check out the Junior Girls Olympics finals, which will be held on Daniel Island on Sept. 21 & 22. Girls will be competing in Volleyball, Basketball, Cheerleading/Gymnastics, Swimming, Soccer, Tennis, and Track & Field at Bishop England High School, Pierce Park Pavilion and the Family Circle Tennis Center, all on Daniel Island.
