The Islander Makes Waves on Daniel Island

July 8, 2014

A new restaurant recently opened its doors on Daniel Island to much fanfare, adding to the already eclectic mix of dining options available on the island.  The Islander features a casual, relaxed atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. The island-inspired menu has something for everyone, including oysters on the half shell, ceviche and fresh fish for the seafood lovers to more hearty options like the grilled pork chop or burger. The Islander’s full sushi menu and tasty cocktails are also an added bonus.

The new restaurant opened in early May and since then has become a favorite dinner spot for both Daniel Island and Charleston residents. The Islander’s sister restaurant, 39 Rue de Jean, has been a popular local favorite in historic downtown Charleston for nearly 14 years.
