Daniel Island is Pretty In Pink!
Daniel Island is cloaked in pink this month in honor of the annual Komen Lowcountry Race for the Cure. On Saturday, October 20, starting at 7:00 am, thousands of supporters will descend upon Daniel Island to participate in the race or cheer on friends and family who are participating. For information about the Race and related activities, visit komenlowcountry.org.
Meanwhile, all month long local business throughout Charleston have lent their support to the Lowcountry Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation by participating in the Lowcountry Pink for the Cure competition and painting their storefronts pink. Entrants will be judged on their designs and the grand prize winner will receive a live radio remote broadcast from their business. Winners will be announced on the radio and on ABC News 4 Lowcountry Live.
We’re happy to see so many Daniel Island businesses showing their support by participating in the Lowcountry Pink for the Cure competition. Check out photos of some of the 2012 Daniel Island entries below, and let us know who you think is the frontrunner!
