A Red, White & Blue Recap!

July 9, 2014

Last week, Daniel Island was coated in red, white and blue as hundreds of residents and visitors participated in three days of Independence Day celebrations! As usual, the Daniel Island Property Owners’ Association staff outdid themselves, hosting a great kick off party on Thursday at Etiwan Park where residents patriotically decorated their bicycles and golf carts, then marched the streets of Daniel Island at the annual parade. That evening, hundreds gathered at Children’s Park for a special July 4th-themed ‘Sundown on the Wando’ concert and fireworks.

On Friday the 4th, residents gathered at the Pierce Park Pool & Pavilion for a poolside celebration with games, friendly competitions and a cookout. Lastly, festivities ended with families and friends once again gathering at Pierce Park on Saturday night for the Dive-In Movie Night. Adults mingled and kids swam while the The Croods played on a big screen. All in all, it was a very successful Independence Day weekend on Daniel Island. We are already looking forward to next year!
